Beyoncé’s Provocative Instagram Photo Draws Christian Group’s Ire

 Beyoncé’s attention-grabbing photo of her posing in front of a painting of The Last Supper by Andy Warhol has caused some shock on social media, including a conservative Christian group’s condemnation of the image.

The American Family Association, based in Tupelo, Miss., has blasted the Instagram photo, according to the  Washington Post.

The singer took the photo on the counter of Miami Beach’s Jugofresh juice bar in front of the Warhol mural, complete with camouflage.

The picture was “an act of disrespect towards Jesus Christ … [that] had to be done intentionally,” AFA President Tim Wildmon told the Christian Post.

The singer did not post a caption to the photo.

Beyoncé, 32, has often talked about her religious upbringing and the church in which she grew up performing, St. John’s United Methodist Church, according to the  Houston Chronicle.

“The Church is the best training,” Beyoncé said in a VH1 interview about what she learned from singing in her church choir.

This isn’t the first controversy to come Beyoncé’s way since the release of her history-making surprise album on iTunes last month. Her latest single “XO” drew criticism last week for sampling audio from thespace shuttle Challenger disaster.

Some critics say the artist’s new album is too sexy for her younger fans. Mediawatch UK, a group that “campaigns for socially responsible media,” has accused Beyoncé, a self-described feminist, of jumping on the bandwagon of overly sexual pop stars by releasing explicit content, according to the Daily Mail.

 The performer recently opened up about exploring more provocative lyrics and images on her new “visual album.”

“I always feel like it’s always been my responsibility to be aware of kids and their parents and all these generations,” she said in a video about the release.

“I felt like it stifled me. I felt like, in a sense, that I could not express everything. I’ve done so many things in my life and my career that at this point I feel I’ve earned the right to be me and express any and every side of myself.”

Mrs. Carter Reveals She and Jay Z Are Ready To Have Second Child

Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z have big plans for 2014 -- they are reportedly ready to have their second child.

The hip-hop power couple is more than delighted with their adorable first child Blue Ivy Carter, who is actually turning two tomorrow, Jan. 7. The R&B diva and Brooklyn rapper have collaborated with their baby girl on individual tracks -- on "Blue" off Beyoncé's recently released self-titled visual album and Jay-Z's "Glory," setting the world record for Blue Ivy being the youngest person to appear in the Billboard Top 200.

Sources say the surprise release of "Beyoncé" has to do with Jay-Z's wish to have another child.

"The initial plan was for Beyoncé's album to drop in the New Year, but Jay-Z wants next year to be all about baby making," a source close to the couple claims. "The plan is to start trying just before Beyoncé's world tour ends in Lisbon."

In addition, the source says that the rapper is desperate for a second child to arrive on his birthday, since he is said to be keen for the new member of their family to be linked to the number four.

"Jay thinks four is their lucky number. He loves that the number runs through their lives. He wants their second baby to be conceived when he's 44," the source says.

The source also adds, "They think it'd be a good omen if their baby shared Jay's birthday [December 4] and they've even discussed arranging a C-section, if the timing is right

Technically, you're already pretty late on this one — the sounds that Blue Ivy made after being born not only earned her a featured credit on her dad Jay Z's track "Glory," but once the song hit the Billboard list, Blue Ivy became the youngest person ever to grace the charts. Literally seconds after she was born, she was singing on a hit song.

There's no shortage of tropical vacations in Blue Ivy's life, as evidenced by her recent getaways to Miami, France, and the Bahamas. She even attended a personal white party with her parentson the Amalfi coast. Yes, you read that correctly. We like to imagine Blue Ivy enjoying a light sparkling cider from her sippy cup, looking out at the ocean, quietly whispering, "This is the life."

ABI: Always Be Inspiring

When it comes to having songs written about her, Blue Ivy has on it lock. Not only has she been featured on her parents' tracks — "Glory" by Jay Z and Beyoncé's recent song "Blue" — but she's been the muse for some hip-hop lyrics as well. In her dad's "Jay Z Blue," he raps, "Now I got my own daughter, taught her how to take her first steps, cut the cord, watch her take her first breath," and "Nothing could prepare us for the beauty that you be, Blue bee."

      

We also hear a little about her growing art collection in "Picasso Baby," as Jay says, "Yellow Basquiat in my kitchen corner. Go 'head, lean on that sh*t Blue, you own it." Jay Z also revealed that Blue Ivy has an affinity for both of her parents' songs, saying, "She watches [Beyoncé's concerts] on the computer every night. But my album came out, so we played it. In February 2013, Alicia Keys revealed that her young son, Egypt, had the hots for little Blue Ivy, saying, "Egypt kissed Blue, and I don't think Jay liked it very much. He called my husband, and he was like, 'Watch your son.'" Dads, right? In any case, Blue Ivy doesn't seem like the type to rush into relationships. Blue Ivy's parents famously trademarked her name shortly after her birth — though the decision was met with a lot of criticism, Jay Z explained their motives in a Vanity Fair interview, saying, "People wanted to make products based on our child's name, and you don't want anybody trying to benefit off your baby's name."
